Mount Dhaulagiri (8137m), the seventh highest peak in the world rises above the Kali Gandaki River which flows in between the Annapurna Massif and this awesome peak. The trail extends through Nepal's wildest and most remote areas where the mountain scenery is simply breathtaking, figuratively and literally !

This journey is one of the longest treks and is recommended for experienced trekkers only with some experience on steep snow and glaciers and who are in peak physical condition. Some basic mountaineering skills are asset. The trek is recommended only in autumn due to excessive snow and ice conditions in the winter and spring. This is a land of truly dramatic contrasts.
